Grammy Award Winners The Band Perry to Perform at Paragon

bandperry400x400MARKSVILLE, La., (March 9, 2015) Award-winning country trio The Band Perry will appear at Paragon Casino Resort on Saturday, March 21, at 8PM in the Mari Showroom. A limited number of tickets are still available.

The Band Perry were big winners at at the 2015 Grammys, taking home the Best Country Duo/Group Performance honor for their adaptation of Glen Campbell‘s ‘Gentle on My Mind’.

The Band Perry consists of a trio of siblings from Mobile, Alabama. Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry performed at local festivals, clubs and events before achieving national popularity.  They hit the country/pop/rock music scene running in 2009 when they were signed to Universal Republic. A year later the band released their debut, self-titled album, “The Band Perry,” which received enormous success. In doing so, they received Grammy nominations and multiple awards from the Academy of Country Music, County Music Association and County Music Television.  Today, they are known as one of country’s hottest acts. In addition, the trio has written the majority of the songs on both albums.

The Band Perry produced several hit singles from their debut album such as “If I Die Young” which went quadruple platinum and number 1 on Billboard Magazine’s Country and ACM Charts. Other hit singles such as “You Lie” achieved platinum sales and “All Your Life” was also number 1 on Country Charts. In 2013, the release of their sophomore album “Pioneer” displayed more of a fiery rock-n-roll element fused with the band’s country roots. This album was a tribute to their southern roots and produced hit singles such as “Pioneer,” “Mother Like Me,” and “Better Dig Two,” which stayed at number 1 for two weeks on the country charts.
